A Swiss industrial company ran its reporting on a classic data warehouse, while sensor and production data sat in a separate data lake. Data was copied back and forth between systems, reports were slow to update, and every new analytics request meant manual work.
HICO Group designed a lakehouse architecture on Databricks, migrated the existing warehouse step by step without interrupting operations, and set up central governance with Unity Catalog. Existing Power BI reports were connected directly to the lakehouse.
