Client overview

SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH Stahlcenter AG (SCHMOBI) is a leading steel service provider for the Swiss MEM industry. Established in 1959 in Wil SG, the company offers high-quality steel

products with around 100 employees and places great emphasis on quality, speed, and sustainable partnerships.

The challenge

Faster EXPERTISE
Desired Performence

SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH  needed a more efficient solution for data-driven decisions. The previously used software allowed for SAP data analysis but was technically outdated and inflexible in data analysis. In particular, there were no options to view business processes from different perspectives, such as by product groups or sales regions. The goal was to find an intuitive and powerful tool to make data access and evaluation more efficient and versatile.

The solution

" Qlik Sense gave us completely new insights into our company. Now we can analyze and visualize our data even faster and more flexibly, so we can understand it better than ever."
Andreas Koch, Head of Human Resources and Finance

SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH chose Qlik Sense as the solution for their data-driven challenges. This self-service data visualization solution impressed with its high flexibility, ease of use, and sophisticated functionality. With Qlik Sense, data can

not only be comprehensively analyzed and visualized but also prepared in seconds – a process that previously took half a day. The implementation by the HICO Group was completed in just five  days and resulted in a sales cockpit that clearly

displays all relevant metrics according to various criteria. The intuitive user interface allows users to independently create reports and dashboards and gain direct access to live data.

Future Outlook

Lorem ipsum dolor

In the future, the user base of the sales cockpit will be expanded to include the sales department. Additionally, Qlik Sense applications are planned for the areas of inventory management, procurement, and personnel management.
