Blumer Lehmann faced the challenge of keeping pace with business growth while ensuring higher data quality and decision-making reliability in project controlling. Existing systems could no longer provide the required information in a timely and reliable manner. The goal was to implement a modern, powerful solution that enables efficient analyses and forecasts. During a proof of concept, Qlik Sense and the complementary visualization software TRUECHART impressed with their performance and intuitive operation. A key requirement for Blumer Lehmann was the ability to operate independently in the future – from data preparation to evaluation.

The HICO Group assisted with data preparation and trained Blumer Lehmann to independently implement Qlik Sense and TRUECHART. The focus was on data modeling, architecture, and performance optimization to make project controlling efficient and transparent.
At the same time, employees were intensively trained to use the software independently and actively work with dashboards. Every decision is now traceable and audit-proof thanks to commentable data points. The solution gives project managers real-time access to planned
and actual data, supporting profitable project management – a combination of state-of-the-art BI technology, high user-friendliness, and sustainable process improvement.

Blumer Lehmann plans to further expand the implemented Qlik Sense and TRUECHART solution and make it fully accessible to all project managers. The aim is to increase transparency and control in project controlling and make even more intensive use of the analysis and commenting functions.
