Top ranks for Projects Benefits in different peer groups

Publication date: 2 April 2025

HICO came first several times in the BARC study “The Data & Analytics Service Provider Survey ’25” – and we were also able to defend several other leading positions for ourselves. We have already published an overview in our blog [LINK new website? This honor underscores our outstanding performance in the industry and is a great testament to our commitment to offering our clients the best consulting services. We stumbled across one category while reading and celebrating: HICO consultants:inside were honored in three different peer groups for “Project Benefits”. But … shouldn’t projects generally be beneficial? We asked a few questions.

Why was HICO honored?

At HICO, it’s not just about delivering solutions – we develop innovative strategies that have a lasting impact and help companies realize their full potential. Every day, our team is passionate about ensuring that our clients derive real, measurable benefits from our projects.

When we took a look at the awards we won, we briefly pondered the “Project Benefits” category. Why? Because it is a matter of course for us that our customers derive real added value from our work.

What does that actually mean? “Project Benefits”

For us at HICO, one thing is clear: a project without benefits would be crazy. But what does that actually mean? And how do you create benefits? We ask consultants from various competence centers, colleagues from sales and the management.

Ben Gnädig, VP Data & Cloud International, has been with HICO for 6 years. For him, the benefits lie in particular in increasing the efficiency of our customers and enabling decision-making based more on data than on gut feeling and cost savings through modern cloud architectures that help with scaling: “One example is the company Möhl (to the success stories), which did not have a BI system before our collaboration and now has an improved basis for decision-making equipped with Power BI and a data warehouse.”

Jonas Pranzas, on the other hand, looks through the eyes of a salesperson. In his context, the focus is on the customer relationship; a well-completed project increases trust in the joint collaboration, which strengthens the relationship in the long term – making it attractive for customers to tackle further projects with us in the future. He cites the following example: “The HICO Group developed a BI solution based on Power BI, Talend and TRUECHART for efficient ESG data analysis and reporting for a large network operator. The automated solution reduces manual effort, meets EMAS requirements and improves decision-making.”

Aziz Raies, AI Engineer at the HICO Group, looks at project benefits from the developer’s perspective: “Project benefits make the strategic and practical value of a project visible and show its impact on users and customers. If we manage to successfully implement an AI project, for example, that’s great – it’s only a benefit if the customer benefits from it. This is also how we understand our AI Competence Center. Not just riding the hype wave.”

Managing Director Michael Schwan sums it up: “Ultimately, there are three key factors by which we are measured: Quality, time and cost. Every completed project should have a positive impact on turnover or efficiency. Our aim is to implement these three aspects in the best possible way in every project – and we are delighted that our customers rate us so positively.”

The fact that you have rated us so highly for this shows us that our standards are not only recognized, but also appreciated. And that makes us particularly proud!
