HICO Group is in constant search for new talents. This time we are happy to present to you our Philipp Zink from Freiburg, and his HICO journey. If we could describe him in three words only, we would choose: reliable, resilient, and result-oriented. And we were interested in the way he describes HICO.
HICO Journey
I joined HICO Group in August. My good friend works at HICO in sales so I approached him regarding the open position. Of course, he just swarmed about HICO and, as you would expect from a very good salesman, made the position attractive. After good discussion with the CEO, and a meeting with the entire management team, I was sure that I wanted to join HICO to help shape the company’s successful future.
I love the clear vision and contagious enthusiasm that runs in the company. I had a chance to experience such great team spirit at the summer party, where I met most of my colleagues.
Work, work, work!
Service Delivery Management is not only about delivering high standards and quality, but also about excellent communication, which is what I like so much about this subject area. The combination of measurable success and transparent communication is, in my view, one of the most important key factors for success.
Of course, every role comes with its challenges! From my point of view, different expectations from the people involved in the projects are one of the biggest challenges. Both on the customer side and on our side, there are different perspectives on how the finished project should look and also how the process should be carried out. This is where the transparent communication mentioned earlier plays an important role, because if there is clear communication right from the beginning, the expectations can be brought congruently in one direction.
This brings us to a “job well done” – our ability to meet both the customer’s expectations exactly, as well as our own internal requirements. In the best case we even exceed the expectations of the customer, e.g. because we reach the goal in a shorter time and the customer recommends us or plans directly the next project with us. For this, high standards and impeccable quality of work are a prerequisite.
Industry development
I am convinced that the importance of sustainability on the one hand and the automation of processes within project management on the other will continue to increase. The focus here will not only be on the providers, but also on the companies, which will have to make their IT process landscapes and business processes more efficient. This can be seen both in the media coverage of the general situation of the global economy and also already at the national level with requirements from politics to save resources. This is a very exciting topic area and I am sure that the HICO Group will offer the right solutions here.
